Private Insurance Inquiries
The National Board of Industrial Injuries makes advisory statements, on request, on personal injury in connection with private compensation claims.
It is the parties to the case that can request a statement from the Board. The parties are usually the insurance company and the injured person. Payment of a fee is required.
In 2008, the fee for managing a private claim was:
- DKK 7,000 for a statement including loss of earning capacity
- DKK 3,800 for a statement not including loss of earning capacity
- DKK 7,000 for an estimate of the future earning capacity
If, during the processing of the claim, it becomes necessary to pay for medical certificates, for instance, the parties to the case will pay the cost.
The National Board of Industrial Injuries has the authority to make advisory statements under section 81 of the Workers" Compensation Act and section 10 of the Damages Liability Act.
